International Dance Day in Pre-Primary

Dance is the hidden language of the soul of the body-Martha Graham

Zebar school has always emphasised on the importance of extracurricular activities which include dance and music. Our tiny tots of Zebar pre-primary celebrated International Dance Day with a special assembly.

Students set the stage on fire with their scintillating performances, which included a Japanese dance and a Zoomba Dance. This assembly made our toddlers aware of the diverse dance forms prevalent across the world. A few hast mudras of Bharatnatyam along with the explanation were also presented.

In the end, Zebarites grooved on their favourite music along with their teachers.

Interactive Career Counselling Session

Interactive Career Counselling Session

An Interactive Career Counselling Session was held at the school auditorium for the parents and students of class 9. Mr Mohit Mangal is a well-known career counsellor and motivational speaker with over 20 years of experience.

He discussed the various career options available in Science, Commerce and Humanities after class 12th. He also cleared the multiple questions in the parents’ mind on shifting to other boards after class 10th.

Students shine in Board exams

Zebar School proudly announces its 100% result of the first batch of std X. This result is a shining example of the sweat, determination, grit of our students, teachers and parents. We are incredibly grateful to all Zebar parents who had faith in the management and the teachers of the school.

Zebar School has time and again proved that it is the newest but among the best in Ahmedabad. With new students joining from other schools of the city, the school has managed to turnaround their marks and give positive results.

Safer Internet Day

To raise awareness amongst the students about cybersecurity and emerging online issues, Zebar School celebrated the Safer Internet Day Students of Middle section watched a video to learn about cyber security tips, ideas to stay safe online, what kind of information should be shared on the web, how to create strong passwords and the teacher discussed about these in detail.
After the discussion, the students were asked to create a set of 140 character message that could be posted on school’s Twitter account to encourage families to stay safe online. 
The aim of Safer Internet Day was to inspire a conversation about using technology responsibly, respectfully, critically and creatively. 

Identifying Parts of Plants

Junior KG students were shown a variety of plants on the campus. The teachers had recreated a small plant kingdom where they had set up a wide variety of plants. Through observing an extensive range of plants students understood that plants have different parts and grow in places where they get their needs met. They came to know that some plant parts are below the ground and some above. This activity familiarised the students with the diversity and variation of plants

International Mother Language Day

Students of all the three sections celebrated International Mother Language Day at the campus. On one hand, students of Senior KG held a special assembly on sign languages with their peers. Their message was clear that language has no barrier. On the other hand, students of the primary section gave a glimpse into the linguistic diversity of our country. The students dressed as Punjabis, Marathis, Gujaratis, Bengalis each gave a short presentation about their language and culture. The students of Middle section celebrated this day by writing essays, poem recitations in their mother tongue, reading of Gujarati prose from favourite novels and prayer recital in Punjabi by students of grade 9. Our Principal ma’am donated Gujarati Novels to the school library.

As a school, Zebar is very proud to have such a rich, culturally vibrant community, and to be able to learn from and respect each other. We also have a group of wonderful, dedicated Mother Tongue Teachers (Gujarati, Hindi and Sanskrit), who help our children to grow in their native language and share it with others, a skill which is so crucial in today’s global society.

World Radio Day

World Radio Day is an observance day held annually on 13th February. It is about celebrating radio, why we love it and why we need it today….more than ever. A day to remember the unique power of radio, touch lives and bring people together across every corner of the globe.
The students of class 4 B celebrated World Radio day by organizing a special assembly. Students dressed as RJ hosted the assembly. They held a group discussion on the relevance of radio in the 21st century and how it is still useful to reach out to the millions of people in rural areas. Radio is particularly helpful for defence purposes. The children delivered impressive speeches one after the other.

Patriotism unfurls in Zebar

Our country’s 70th Republic Day was celebrated in all its solemnity and grandeur at Zebar today. The day began with a school prayer followed by flag hoisting by the Guest of Honour, Wing Commander Puneet Chadha. He is the officer in charge of Helicopter operations at HQ South Western Air Command and an alumna of Udgam School. This was accompanied by the Flag Song and the pledge.

Middle and Secondary Section Sports Day

The much awaited Annual Sports Day for Middle and Secondary Section was held on 21st December, 2018. The fantastic turnout from the parents and the pleasant weather were the perfect boosts for the students on sports day at the Zebar School. The students entered into the spirit of the occasion grandly with the releasing of the balloons by the special guest of the day, Mr Manan Choksi, Executive Director of the School. The Yoga performance and Pyramid formation showcased the skills and exercises practised by Zebarites every day.

A vigorous dance drill and an energising exercise drill set the tone for the rest of the event. Once the races began, the air was filled with cheering and tons of encouragement for the young athletes. The day ended with our Principal Ma’am congratulating the winners with medals and certificates

Pre-Primary Annual Day

A colourful pageant conceived by Ms Amoli Patell, the Vice-Principal of Pre-primary Section, showcased the rich and divergent languages, costumes and dances of more than 11 states of our country. The tiny tots of classes Nursery and Senior KG presented the show today morning at Pandit Deendayal Auditorium. This year the theme was ‘Incredible languages of India’. The show started with the tiny tots of Senior KG showcasing the culture of Maharashtra and slowly moved towards highlighting the languages and dances of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Kashmir, Goa, Orissa, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and ended with the last performance of Bengal. A medley of the Kashmiri dance, Mohiniyattam and the Ghoomar dance won unstopping applause from the audience! Confidence, articulation and carefully synchronised performances of the tiny tots on stage reassured us, teachers, and engaged our parents. Pride was writ large on the faces of the audience.
