Quiz and Contest

Online General Knowledge Quiz for students of Middle and Secondary sections with online prizes are conducted in Zebar. The school bears the cost of this event.

The quiz is organized in association with Skill sphere Education, Mumbai. This quiz provides a platform for our students to sharpen their general knowledge.

Such events help students to grow both at a personal level and an academic level. It improves the confidence level also and prepares them for competitive exams ahead.

Creative Corner

The school has been showcasing all the creative work done by the students on its social media platforms.

It motivates the student as a large number of the audience sees their work. It encourages them to take an interest in creative work like and use their time constructively.

Top level trainings and facilities for teachers

Zebar School supported all the teaching and non-teaching staff during this pandemic through its various initiatives.

Laptop loans were given to teachers to buy laptops/ desktops for conducting online classes from home.

Work at home Internet pack from Jio was provided to each teacher to ensure that they do not face any internet issues during the class.

Teachers were motivated to attend online training and webinars that would help them in making the online classes interactive and engaging. The school bore the cost.

Training was conducted by MS Teams and Extra Marks for the teachers to help and equip them for online teaching.

Training budgets were allocated, and teachers were motivated to upgrade their skills.

Working days have been increased to help the students and parents during the lockdown. All staff have been given a choice to work as per their flexible hours and are working remotely for their safety.

Health and life insurance

Health/Medical insurance can take care of the medical expenses of employees up to Rs 3,00,000/- per year. The entire cost to be borne by the school.
It covers all medical emergencies including COVID.
20% to be borne by employees – and 80% by ICICI.

All employees have been insured with a Life Insurance Policy worth Rs 10 Lakhs. The policy will be given in case of an untimely death and covers COVID deaths too.

75% have secured 70% and above in Class X

A large segment of students achieve distinction and above in Zebar. The students in Zebar of class 10 are given individual counselling, remedial sessions and doubt solving sessions. Extra worksheets, previous year practice papers and reference books are also provided to the students.Toppers from Udgam are invited to talk to students and give tips to the students. Counselling sessions are organised by the school for students to help them select the right stream after class 10th.

Microsoft Team based classrooms

Microsoft Teams is the best tool that enables teachers to connect and communicate with students and conduct classes online efficiently.

Here are some of the features of the MS Team classrooms

  1. Students work together with real-time co-authoring, auto-saving and easy sharing through their favorite web apps, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  2. Each student is provided with a corporate class exchange server mail that has a capacity of 50GB.
  3. Teams improve learning outcomes with built-in accessibility features and learning tools that assist in reading, writing, math and communication.
  4. Students remain organized with One Note –Digital Notebook
  5. Students also get the digital storytelling experience through Sway.
  6. Online assignments through Teams help teachers and students to keep track of their performance.
