Field trip Senior KG Fire Station
Our Senior K.G. children visited the Thaltej Fire station to extend their knowledge of firefighters. They got a hands-on-experience on fire safety and the essential community helper- the firefighter. They watched how firefighters use their fire truck in an emergency. The firefighters showed them the different equipment used by them and demonstrated the use of a fire extinguisher. Children were ecstatic when they saw a firefighter slid down the pole. Our children asked many questions to the firefighters. The firefighters were surprised by the inquisitiveness of our children. Our children were told about the emergency number which they can call when there is a fire. It was a fun-filled, informative experience which the children can use to associate with their immediate environment. Their visit was aimed at learning about the duties of firefighters and also to get fire safety tips such as: • Not to play with matches • To avoid burning things • To avoid playing with electrical appliances.
