Zebarites hoist the National Flag under the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign.

‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ is a campaign run under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to encourage people to bring home the Tiranga to commemorate the 75th anniversary of India’s independence. The Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an initiative of the Government of India to commemorate 75 years of Indian independence and the wonderful achievements of its people. Several students raised the National Flag at their homes in support of this initiative.

Gujarati Bhasha Divas is celebrated

Gujarati Bhasha Divas is celebrated every year as a tribute to the legendary Gujarati poet Veer Narmad and Jhaverchand Meghani the founder of modern Gujarati literature. All the teachers of Gujarati department trained and motivated the students to participate during the weeklong celebration. On 25th August 2022, Thursday Gujarati Bhasha Divas was celebrated by Middle Section – Gujarati Department in our beautifully decorated Auditorium.

The Gujarati day celebration started with class 7 students narrating – The goal of their life. Class 8 students enacted mime with messages like save water, follow traffic rules, never procrastinate, etc.

This was followed by class 6 students reciting beautiful poems with clear pronunciation and intonation. The audience enjoyed each event designed meticulously by our Gujarati educators Chaitali Sutaria, Bharti Patel, and Hemangini Patel.

 


 

The Secondary Section hosted a vibrant and inspiring book launching event in celebration of ‘Gujarati Diwas’.

The ceremony symbolized the enlightenment of knowledge and the cultivation of young intellects, setting a reflective tone deeply rooted in the school’s fundamental values. Throughout the event, these values were prominently highlighted as students shared their experiences of writing and seeing their stories come to life. Their testimonies not only showcased their literary prowess but also exemplified their resilience and commitment to personal growth.

The esteemed presence of Shri Ketanbhai Trivedi, the Digital Editor of Chitralekha News Weekly, as the chief guest added further significance to the event. In his inspiring speech, Shri Trivedi emphasized the importance of nurturing creativity in education, underscoring that true education extends beyond academics to encompass the cultivation of imagination, critical thinking, and creative expression. His insights reinforced the school’s ethos of providing platforms for the voices of young minds.

The atmosphere exuded profound respect for the learning process, with the audience applauding the students’ dedication and accomplishments. The event culminated in the unveiling of the student anthology, marking a noteworthy milestone in the school’s literary endeavors.

Annual day themes for primary school

Life is a canvas. It’s upto you, what colours you choose to paint this canvas of life into a beautiful Masterpiece.

The message was conveyed by students of the primary section (class 2 and 4) through their rainbow-coloured Annual Function held at Pandit Deendayal auditorium, today morning. The theme of their function was ‘Colours of Life’. The hall was packed to its capacity. The event began with the lighting of the lamp by Ms Radhika Iyer Academic Advisor and Mr Ramesh Desai trustee of Zebar School. Our revered Principal Ms Sharmistha Sinha addressed the audience.
Students presented colourful dances with various colour themes like Orange, Yellow, Violet, Green and Blue. Ganesh Vandana was followed by Sunshine Song and African Dance. The popular dance form of Punjab’ Bhangra’ reenergized the audience. All the dances were well-coordinated and brilliant as per the theme.

Students and teachers of the Primary section had put in long hours of practice for this beautiful show. The performances of the students left the audience spellbound. They responded with thunderous applause. Just as the primary section has signified the qualities of each colour, every human being too has their individual quality. The event concluded by a Vote of Thanks by Ms Bijal Raval.

Annual day celebration

Annual function of Middle Section

Annual function of Middle Section (Grade 6 and 8 ) was held on 23rd November 2019 at Pandit Deendayal Auditorium. The theme was ‘Sahitya Sangam’- Power of Words. The event began with the lighting of the lamp by Ms.Radhika Iyer, Academic Advisor and Mr. Ramesh Desai trustee of Zebar School. Our revered Principal Ms. Sharmistha Sinha addressed the parents.
The entire musical drama was presented in four main languages Sanskrit, Hindi, English and Gujarati, which are taught in the school. Students presented drama scenes written by the famous authors of these languages.
A Hindi drama on the topic of ‘Heavy School bags’ beautifully portrayed the plight of students carrying those heavy bags daily to school. Apart from the scenes, students set the stage on fire with colourful Gujarati Ras and a motivational dance ‘Tum Mujhe Kab Tak Rokoge’ which showcased the will power of the disabled children. English drama based on Julius Caesar’s assassination written by well-known English author William Shakespeare was also staged. The story of trust, revenge and betrayal was enacted brilliantly by the students.
The entire event was a colourful amalgamation of dance, music and drama. It was a result of countless hours of practice, teamwork by the students and teachers. It also brought forth the hidden talent of Zebarites which would have got unnoticed. The Vote of thanks was given by Ms Mili Bhattacharyya Vice-Principal (Middle Section).

Annual Sports Day 2019 BSFC & ZSFC

The Annual Sports Day for toddlers of the pre-primary section was held today morning. The event was graced by academic advisors Ms Radhika Iyer and Ms Viloo Parikh. Principal Ms Sharmistha Sinha and Vice-Principals of both schools attended the event to motivate the toddlers. March past by toddlers of Junior KG holding their placards reflected their discipline and teamwork as they walked past the ground on the thumping beats of the drum. Spectacular karate performances and pyramid by Zebar students entertained the audience. Toddlers took part in Hulla Hoop jumping, collecting the brick race, hit the target race and over the ball race.
The event culminated with a Vote of Thanks by Vice Principal Ms Shruti Shekhawat.

Carnival for Pre-primary

Zebar Campus was abuzz with excitement last Saturday as it was Carnival time for Pre-primary students. The entire campus was beautifully decorated for the Carnival. A clown welcomed all the students for the special evening in the school at 3:30 pm.
The Carnival started with a magic show. The magician performed several tricks which left the young children astonished and mesmerized. He called up a few children and performed astounding tricks with them. The children remained glued to the show until the end.
After the magic show, children danced on peppy numbers with their friends and teachers. Then the kids went from one stall to another to play games like dart game, ladder ball, juvenile throw, pin the tail and ball throw. As the evening progressed, the fun continued for the little ones. The entire ground had transformed into a mini amusement park. After the game session, dinner was served to the students. Children also enjoyed the photo session with their friends and teachers. It was an evening of fun and frolic which shall remain etched in their little minds.

Garba Celebrations for classes 3-7

Students of grade 3 to 7 enjoyed the Navratri event held on 8th October at Akash Aman party plot. This event was organised in association with Radio Mirchi. Students made small groups and danced with their friends and teachers. Adhering to the dress code, they wore traditional dresses and enjoyed the special evening with their school community.

Garba Celebrations for classes 8 -10

Recently students and teachers of Zebar School and Udgam school got together for an exclusive Garba and Dandiya evening at Aman Akash Party plot. This Garba event was organised in association with Radio Mirchi. Students danced in groups and enjoyed the special evening with their school friends, parents and teachers. The entire ground turned in to a colourful display of colours showcasing the rich culture of Gujarat.

Yoga Day- Assembly of Class 6 E

Students of class 6 E held a special assembly on International Yoga Day and World Music Day. It commenced with the prayer for mental peace and well-being of all students. An informative speech on yoga day was delivered, and facts like yoga originated from Rigveda and the theme of Yoga day- ‘Yoga for Climate Action’ were told to students. In addition to this, a speech was delivered on World Music Day in which the anchors used French words.

Our students were informed that World Music Day originated from France. Students performed complex asanas in front of their peers to exhibit their flexibility and muscular endurance. The assembly concluded with the National Anthem.

Assembly of 9 C- Conservation of Nature.

At Zebar, we understand, appreciate and value our green gold. It is essential that this precious gift is nurtured, preserved and reserved for future generations. To ensure this, the children of 9C initiated a special assembly on “Conservation of Nature” and emphasized on the drastic implications of cutting down of trees. It began with the Morning prayer that paved the way for the students to rejuvenate their spirits, remain rooted in the moral values and unleash their vitality. Thought of the day was presented by Ishan Goswami followed by informative news reported by Nachiket Shah and Shreya Patel. The PPT added value to the assembly, which was made by Jay Patel. The students left everybody spellbound and speechless as they performed on the song “Na katto Mujhe” and exhibited the reckless cutting of trees and how we have been selfishly plundering the earth and her natural resources and was concluded with a heartfelt message that “Each one, Plant one” before it’s too late for us to realize. This was followed by a Principal Ms. Sharmishtha Sinha, who encouraged the students of IX-C by appreciating their performance and congratulated them for conducting a successful assembly. Assembly was concluded with the vote of thanks by the anchors for the day Anya Parekh, and Naitik Desai followed by National Anthem.
