Zebar campus has been one of the cleanest campuses in Ahmedabad. With ‘the new normal’ the school management continues its round the clock efforts to make it a safe place for our students.
The school follows all protocols set by the Ministry of Health and Welfare for the partial reopening of schools for classes 9th & 10th.
Apart from the guidelines, school management ensures that students and staff remain safe during this pandemic.
The list of measures taken from the school are listed below:
- There are separate entry and exit points to maintain physical distancing among students.
- Temperature guns are provided at all entry points to ensure that all students, staff members, guardians and outsiders are safe to enter the school premises. Temperature is checked of each student before entering the premises.
- Hand sanitisers are available throughout the campus. They have been placed in each classroom too.
- Teachers and students movement shall remain restricted throughout the campus. Lessons will take place using social distancing measures.
- Masks/face covers shall be compulsory for all students.
- Students have been sensitised towards maintaining respiratory etiquettes in the campus. It involves the practice of covering mouth and nose while coughing/sneezing with a tissue or a handkerchief.
- Emphasis on frequent handwashing in the school. Each class will be given a break to wash their hands at regular intervals.
- One child will sit on one desk, maintaining an appropriate physical distance in the classroom.
- Classrooms and staffrooms are coated with Germ Shield. It is an antimicrobial agent giving 99.99% germ kill protection and inhibits microbial growth. It is effective for 90 days.
- Classrooms and toilets are sanitised regularly throughout the day.
- Classrooms resources will not be shared with students and will be sanitised after every class.
- A visitor log is maintained in the campus. Access to the school building shall remain restricted only to the students, teachers and staff. Parents can come to meet only with prior appointments.
- Use of emails/ phone calls/virtual parent-teacher interactions shall be encouraged.
- Staff and teachers will have to undergo COVID-19 test before resuming to duty.
- As per the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation guidelines, a COVID officer has been appointed to monitor Standard Operating procedures.
