The Interact Club, consisting of 54 student members, successfully raised Rs 30,000/- through crowdfunding to support Rotary International’s efforts to eradicate polio worldwide. Rakhis hold a special place in Indian culture, symbolizing love and gratitude. One group that deserves this appreciation is the brave soldiers of the Indian army, who often miss out on the joy of Rakhi celebrations. The Interact Club of Zebar School For Children recognized this and decided to share the spirit of Rakshabandhan with the army. We encouraged club members to craft handmade Rakhis to send to the Indian command, aiming to express their thanks and admiration for these heroes. As word of this initiative spread, the entire school community was inspired to join in. Students and members enthusiastically participated in this endeavor, resulting in the creation of hundreds of unique handmade Rakhis, each reflecting their creativity and care. This initiative not only raised awareness about the soldiers’ challenges but also encouraged students to find ways to support and uplift their lives.

Make Seed Balls for the Future

Mr. Dinesh Gautam, an accomplished Environmentalist, visited the school to lead an Interact Club project focused on the creation of seed balls for tree planting. During the session, he elucidated the rationale behind seed balls and provided comprehensive instructions on their proper usage once dry. The students in the middle section eagerly engaged in the hands-on activity, demonstrating enthusiasm as they learned to craft seed balls using a mud and seed mixture. This interactive project not only provided an enjoyable learning experience but also facilitated the cultivation of environmental stewardship among the students.
