International Yoga Day Celebration at Zebar School

Year 2024

Zebar School For Children celebrated the 9th International Yoga Day and World Music Day. The event included the lighting of the lamp and a prayer, and was graced by the school’s Principal and other esteemed teachers and students. The significance of Yoga and music in daily lives was emphasized, and the universal language of music was celebrated. The students performed yoga poses and mantra for well-being, and the importance of the theme ‘Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ was explained. Breathing techniques, asanas, and meditation were demonstrated. The school band and students performed a fusion song, and the audience was encouraged to cherish music and celebrate its power to unite souls.

Practicing yoga is essential for mental and physical well-being of children. It teaches young children patience and to work hard toward their goals. They are also equipped with tools to practice compassion, mindfulness, generosity, focus, strength, and flexibility.

The Middle Section celebrated International Yoga Day and World Music Day enthusiastically on 21st June 2022. It was a common programme for students of 6,7 and 8.The event began with a Ganesh Vandana. The Principal, Ms Sharmistha Sinha, addressed the students and encouraged them to incorporate yoga into their daily lives.  Ms Siya Khemani from class 8 hosted the entire event. Prerna ma’am guided the students through simple asanas. All students performed Surya Namaskar after the warm up. She taught students some relaxation techniques and meditation that will be beneficial to them. Furthermore, students demonstrated their talent through a group yoga performance and an individual performance by Ms Stuti Sharma.The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Ms Bijal Raval, Supervisor, Middle Section.


Year 2017

The campus was abuzz with energy as International Yoga Day was joyously celebrated. The day was dedicated to enlightening the students about the significant benefits of physical and mental fitness through the practice of yoga. Notably, the teachers enthusiastically joined the students in performing various yoga poses, creating a harmonious and fruitful atmosphere.
